Dean Johnson previews Proposition 8 hearing

“The proponents of Prop 8 rely on a number of cases that are not really comparable to this situation. So for example one of their main cases, they rely on a local ballot initiative that was opposed by a home builders association and of course all the homeowners were affected by this anti-growth initiative. This is a very different situation. The proponents of Prop 8 really have never been able to answer that basic question — how are you personally harmed if same-sex marriage is legal and Prop 8 is overturned?” ABC7 Legal Analyst Dean Johnson.
